About Jersey Christian Portal

The Jersey Christian Portal is a free community noticeboard where Christians in Jersey share what they do — businesses, trades, services and hobbies alike. A finance firm, a dog walker and a granny who arranges flowers all belong here equally.

How trust works

Every member belongs to a Jersey church, chosen when they register, and confirms their email address before they can post. Their name and their church appear on everything they put up. That is the accountability: people here are posting among neighbours who know them.

Posts go up straight away. We don’t ask church leadership to approve them — they told us they haven’t the hands for it, and we would rather ask nothing of them than run something they can’t sustain. Instead everything is screened automatically as it’s posted, and anything the screening isn’t sure about waits for us to look before it appears.

There is a “report” link on every listing, request, event and noticeboard post. If something concerns you, please use it — it comes straight to us, and content that several people report is taken down while we look.

This is accountability, not accreditation: a listing is not an endorsement, a qualification check or a background check. Please make the same sensible checks you would with any service.

Costs

The portal is run as a labour of love and is free to use — a gift to the Christian community in Jersey. There is nothing to pay and nothing to ask for.
